For the Cake
- 3 eggs, large
- 1 cup maple syrup or honey
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups plain regular or Greek yogurt (3%+ fat)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, aluminum free
- 1/2 cup cacao powder
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
For the Frosting
- 1 1/2 cups plain Greek yogurt (2%+ fat)
- 1/3 cup cacao powder
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Recipe / Instructions
- Put two cake baking containers on two parchment or baking paper, circle around with a pencil, and cut out each of the drawings with scissors. Put the papers within each cake container and splash with a cooking spray covering the sides. Put it aside.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a big blending bowl, include eggs and maple syrup, beat with an electric blender for 30 seconds or until all well joined. Include baking soda, yogurt, baking powder, salt, vanilla, and beat with a blender for 30 seconds.
- Include cacao powder and utilizing a whisk, mix until all mixed well. Include flour and beat until smooth and very much mixed. Don’t over blend but beat until smooth consistency.
